Desde dezembro que a Câmara Municipal de Gondomar começou a instalação de 100 ecopontos que estão a ser montados por todo o concelho. A rua Cimo da Serra, em Gondomar (S.Cosme), recebeu, no dia 10 de janeiro, o 75.º ecoponto. Desde 2010 que não era colocado qualquer ecoponto em Gondomar.
“Desde dezembro estamos a colocar ecopontos em Gondomar. Este é o 75.º a ser colocado e está no centro do concelho de Gondomar. É um investimento perto dos 1.500 euros por cada conjunto, com o objetivo de proporcionar condições à população para criar hábitos de reciclagem”, disse Marco Martins, Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, após a instalação do 75.º ecoponto na rua Cimo da Serra, em Gondomar (S. Cosme). Desde 2010 que não era colocado um ecoponto em Gondomar.
A medida inserida num compromisso assumido entre os Estados-membros da União Europeia, que deverão reciclar, pelo menos, 50% dos seus resíduos, entre 2014 e 2020, prevê a instalação de um lote de 100 ecopontos espalhados pelo concelho.
“Em breve, será definido um Plano de Gestão de Resíduos para o Município. Gostaria que Gondomar fosse, nos próximos anos, um exemplo de reciclagem para a Área Metropolitana do Porto”, disse José Fernando Moreira, Vereador do Pelouro do Ambiente e Serviços Urbanos, em declarações ao Vivacidade.
