O sável e a lampreia foram uma vez mais rei e rainha da festa gastronómica de Gondomar. Pelo vigésimo terceiro ano consecutivo, as iguarias do concelho estiveram à prova e foram premiadas. Este ano, contudo, o destaque foi para o 10.º Fim-de-Semana Gastronómico com uma nova aposta turística: um percurso turístico gratuito pelas ruas de Gondomar.
A 5 de março, o Auditório Municipal de Gondomar recebeu mais um Concurso de Sável Frito e da Lampreia à Bordalesa, inserido na XXIII ‘Festa do Sável e da Lampreia’. Quase duas dezenas de restaurantes submeteram as suas iguarias a um júri técnico e convidado, que classificou os pratos apresentados de 1 a 10. No final do dia os vencedores iriam ser revelados. A gastronomia foi, na verdade, o ponto comum da culinária, da cultura, das tradições e dos saberes das gentes do concelho.
Mas o ponto alto da já famosa ‘Festa do Sável e da Lampreia’ foi o 10.º Fim-de-Semana Gastronómico de Gondomar um “importante contributo na afirmação nacional de um município que valoriza a sua herança gastronómica de gerações de cozinheiros que apuraram com sabedoria os sabores do rio Douro”, segundo a Câmara Municipal de Gondomar. Para além dos restaurantes expositores que serviam os pratos do concurso e da animação com esta edição contou com uma novidade para o concelho. O segundo dia teve como principal atração um circuito turístico pelas ruas de Gondomar, oferecido aos visitantes do certame, com organização da Câmara e da empresa Douro Azul.
Para o vereador do Turismo da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, Carlos Brás, “este circuito turístico foi elaborado com o objetivo de dar a conhecer a quem visita Gondomar, três facetas do concelho: o Multiusos e o Centro Histórico da cidade, a bonita paisagem da marginal junto ao rio Douro e as novas acessibilidades.” “Por isso é que o autocarro foi pela autoestrada, para mostrar às pessoas que é fácil e rápido chegar a Gondomar”, acrescentou. “É a primeira vez que há circuitos turísticos dentro da cidade de Gondomar e o objetivo é divulgar os nossos monumentos e locais de interesse”, referiu ainda o autarca ao Vivacidade.
Quanto à colaboração com a Douro Azul, o vereador explicou que “a Câmara Municipal está interessada em colaborar com todos os agentes turísticos que operam no rio Douro.” “Obviamente que a Douro Azul por ter uma posição dominante no mercado, será um interlocutor e um parceiro privilegiado mas temos contacto com outras empresas”, mencionou.
Para a Câmara de Gondomar, “o turismo gastronómico representa uma alavanca de sucesso enquanto oferta turística que, em Gondomar, tem como pilar um património rico, variado e original, capaz de motivar os visitantes a selecionarem o nosso Município, fidelizando-se à excelência da nossa gastronomia.”
