A Rio Tinto Medieval do próximo ano já está a ser pensada mas a edição que ocorreu de 26 a 28 de setembro não pode ser esquecida e o presidente da Junta de Rio Tinto, Nuno Fonseca, caracteriza-a como “surpreendente”.
Com um aumento considerável de expositores, restauração e animação a V Medieval de Rio Tinto – este ano intitulada pela primeira vez de Rio Tinto Medieval – trouxe à Quinta das Freiras mais de 40 mil pessoas. “O balanço é extremamente positivo e até mesmo surpreendente”, afirma Nuno Fonseca ao Vivacidade.
“Definimos um projeto para este evento, de modo a faze-lo crescer progressivamente de forma sustentada, quer do ponto de vista logístico, quer financeiro. Não podemos esquecer que todos os grandes eventos deste nível são organizados por municípios, com outra capacidade de investimento e a Medieval de Rio Tinto, mesmo tendo este ano contado com apoio da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, continua a ser um evento da Junta de Freguesia de Rio Tinto”, explica o autarca. “Este ano a adesão do público foi surpreendente, ultrapassando qualquer expectativa e mostrando que a Rio Tinto Medieval é um evento do agrado dos cidadãos e por isso um evento a investir e a melhorar”, refere ainda o riotintense.
A animação que ocorreu no recinto foi “um dos pontos fortes do evento e que fez a diferença este ano”, garante Nuno Fonseca.
Em 2015, a Rio Tinto Medieval será maior
“Um grande segredo”, responde o presidente da Junta de Rio Tinto quando questionado sobre as novidades para a feira de 2015. No entanto, afiança, “no próximo ano a Medieval terá mais área ocupada, mais animação e mais expositores.”
“Os custos envolvidos numa organização de um evento desta natureza são enormes e, por isso mesmo, precisamos de sustentabilidade e de melhorias progressivas. Não temos a pretensão de achar que a Rio Tinto Medieval é perfeita, porque não é e sabemo-lo bem, identificámos o que ainda falta melhorar e o que não foi feito por limites financeiros e logísticos. Temos consciência de onde estamos e para onde queremos ir e posso já avançar que queremos ir para o top mas Medievais em Portugal”, conclui Nuno Fonseca.
A Rio Tinto Medieval foi organizada pela Junta de Freguesia de Rio Tinto, Associação Artística de Gondomar e Câmara Municipal de Gondomar.
