A Noite Branca de Gondomar inaugurou a celebração das Festas do Concelho 2014. Durante cerca de um mês o concelho esteve em festa e nem o mau tempo estragou os planos da romaria. O Vivacidade acompanhou os principais eventos, desde o concurso gastronómico “Hoje há Caldo de Nabos” até ao encerramento com a grandiosa procissão em honra de Nossa Senhora do Rosário e dos padroeiros S. Cosme e S. Damião a percorrer as ruas de Gondomar.
Milhares de pessoas visitaram Gondomar durante o mês passado. As Festas abriram em grande com cerca de 50 mil pessoas vestidas de branco, numa noitada inédita no concelho. A iniciativa foi apenas o início do Rosário que respeitou a tradição com o já habitual concurso gastronómico “Hoje há Caldo de Nabos”, este ano realizado na Casa Branca de Gramido.
O prémio de melhor Caldo de Nabos foi para o restaurante “Cantinho das Manas” e no concurso Doce D’Ouro a confeitaria “O Forninho”, de São Pedro da Cova, levou o galardão para casa. Carlos Brás, vereador do turismo da Câmara de Gondomar, agradeceu a “participação de todos” e prometeu “avaliar a possibilidade de voltar a distribuir gratuitamente o Caldo de Nabos no próximo ano”.
No dia 3 de outubro, foi inaugurada a XVI Feira das Tasquinhas, este ano com 26 coletividades a ocuparem o Mercado Municipal de S. Cosme, durante dois fins-de-semana. Durante a visita inaugural Marco Martins, presidente da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, e Manuel Pinto, presidente da Federação das Coletividades do Concelho de Gondomar, salientaram a adesão popular à iniciativa que serve para “reforçar o apoio económico das coletividades”. Segundo Manuel Pinto, a Feira das Tasquinhas proporciona cerca de 70 mil euros de lucro para as coletividades inscritas.
