A 19ª edição do Ornishow Internacional do Douro contou, este ano, com cerca de 5000 pássaros no Multiusos de Gondomar. O evento realizou-se entre os dias 7, 8 e 9 de novembro.
“Nesta exposição, que já é a maior exposição columbófila do país, temos cerca de 5000 aves expostas. Todos os anos crescemos em quantidade e em qualidade porque temos aqui alguns dos melhores criadores do mundo e conseguimos juntar cerca de 800 ‘diamantes de gould’, o que não é nada fácil”, começa por explicar Amílcar Dias, organizador do evento, ao Vivacidade.
Visivelmente satisfeito com o acumular de edições do Ornishow (esta foi a 19ª), o responsável pela exposição admite que ainda é possível “crescer mais um bocadinho”, graças à capacidade do pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar.
Os ‘diamantes de gould’ continuam a ser a principal atração do evento que reúne os “Mourinhos” da competição na “prova mais importante do país”, segundo Amílcar Dias.
O membro do Clube Ornitológico de Gondomar sublinha o crescimento da iniciativa, com a “aposta num maior número de juízes e de expositores, para além de um reforço do número de aves”.
Entre as várias categorias a concurso destacam-se os Canários de Cor, Canários de Porte e Aves Exóticas. Ao júri cabe avaliar o pássaro da cabeça até à pata, desde a cor, plumagem, rabo, patas e tamanho do pássaro. Todos os pormenores contam para a classificação final da ave.
Apesar das “dificuldades associadas à magnitude do evento”, Amílcar Dias espera realizar a 20ª edição do Ornishow em 2015. “Não depende só de nós, depende da Câmara de Gondomar, mas acredito que vamos continuar no Multiusos de Gondomar”, afirmou o organizador.
O Ornishow é organizado pelo Clube Ornitológico de Gondomar em parceria com o Centro Ornitológico do Porto e o Clube Independente Ornitológico de Matosinhos.
