A Topázio, uma empresa de Valbom que transforma metais preciosos e exporta para todo o mundo, assinalou, no dia 5 de dezembro, o seu 140.º aniversário. A cerimónia inaugurou uma exposição de 14 originais em prata elaborados a partir da criatividade de 14 autores de renome na área.
De 5 a 11 de dezembro, o Gondomar Gold Park contou com uma mostra de 14 originais em prata inspirados no Jarrão D. João V, peça icónica da marca, elaborados a partir da criatividade de 14 autores: Cristina Santos e Silva, Didier Faustino, Dino Alves, Dino Gonçalves, Fernando Brízio, Joana Vasconcelos, Marco Sousa Santos, Nini Andrade e Silva, Nuno Baltazar, Rodrigo Oliveira, Sam Baron, Teresa Lundahl, Toni Grilo e Vhils. A cerimónia teve a presença da administração e direção da Topázio, do executivo municipal, vários políticos de Gondomar e outras individualidades nacionais e concelhias.
Em entrevista ao Vivacidade, o curador da exposição e diretor criativo da empresa, Toni Grilo, admitiu que “há poucas marcas em Portugal e até no mundo com esta longevidade.” “Queremos começar uma nova década para o futuro e mostrar que sabemos pensar de outra forma, mais criativa. A nossa ideia era celebrar a criatividade sem criar fronteiras. Convidamos designers, estilistas e artistas plásticos. Essa é a principal riqueza da exposição”, afirmou. “Faz todo o sentido mostrar o que fazemos em Gondomar porque também fazemos parte do concelho e esta é a nossa casa”, acrescentou ainda o diretor da Topázio.
Já o presidente do município, Marco Martins, dedicou algumas palavras à empresa e declarou que “a Topázio é um exemplo do bom que se faz no concelho”.
