A Câmara Municipal de Gondomar escolheu o pavilhão Multiusos para distinguir as conquistas dos atletas gondomarenses na época 2014/2015. O evento foi conduzido por Jorge Gabriel.
O Município de Gondomar distinguiu os feitos desportivos dos atletas e clubes gondomarenses na I Gala do Desporto do concelho. O evento realizou-se a 17 de outubro, no Multiusos de Gondomar, e contou com a assistência de milhares de pessoas.
Marco Martins, presidente da Câmara de Gondomar, inaugurou a cerimónia e dedicou a gala aos mais de 8000 atletas que praticam desporto em Gondomar.
“Percebemos que era necessário organizar esta gala porque em Gondomar há muitos campeões e muitos títulos para homenagear. Todos vocês merecem o nosso reconhecimento porque praticam desporto neste concelho, alcançam títulos nacionais e internacionais e levam o nome de Gondomar além fronteiras”, disse o edil gondomarense, em discurso.
A cerimónia conduzida pelo apresentador Jorge Gabriel contou ainda com as atuações musicais de Renata Gonçalves, ex-concorrente do programa “The Voice Portugal”, e Slimmy.
Agentes desportivos distinguidos na I Gala do Desporto:
Associação/Clube Desportivo do Ano:
Clube Naval Infante D. Henrique – Clube com cerca de 200 atletas, pentacampeão nacional de clubes, campeão nacional em masculinos e femininos, vencedor da Taça de Portugal em femininos, com 53 atletas com títulos individuais de campeões nacionais e vários atletas ao serviço das seleções, além de organizador de regatas internacionais;
Equipa do ano:
Ala Nun’Álvares de Gondomar – Vice-campeã nacional da I Divisão de ténis de mesa;
Dirigente do ano:
Álvaro Cerqueira – Presidente do Gondomar Sport Clube;
Atleta do ano feminino:
Shao Jieni – Vencedora do World Tour Nigéria e do World Tour Áustria de ténis de mesa, 3.ª classificada no World Tour Espanha sub-21, vice-campeã nacional de equipas e 25.ª no “ranking” mundial de sub-21;
Atleta do Ano Masculino:
Ricardo Braga (Ricardinho) – Melhor jogador do Mundo em 2014, eleito pelos portugueses e pela Federação Portuguesa de Futebol como o melhor jogador do centenário da entidade máxima do futsal em Portugal, vencedor do “Quinas de Ouro”, da Liga Nacional e da Copa del Rey;
Treinador do Ano:
Anabela Costa – Treinadora de patinagem artística da Escola Dramática e Musical Valboense;
Atleta Revelação do Ano:
Diogo Jota – Com 18 anos estreou-se no I Liga de futebol, atleta internacional sub-19. Atleta do FC Paços de Ferreira;
Desporto Adaptado:
Armando Costa – Medalha de ouro do Boccia World Open, na Polónia, e medalha de prata no Campeonato Nacional de Boccia;
Desporto Escolar:
Pedro Ferreira – Vice-campeão mundial de Desporto Escolar, em 3000 metros; vice-campeão nacional de corta-mato escolar;
Dedicação:
Albino Oliveira – Diretor do Clube Naval Infante D. Henrique;
Homenagem Carreira/Figura Desportiva:
João Ferreira – Ao serviço do associativismo desde 1974. Iniciou a sua atividade como secretário da direção, passou para a Mesa de Assembleia Geral em 1986 e desde 1987 até hoje mantém-se como Presidente da Ala Nun’Álvares de Gondomar. É o Presidente do Conselho Fiscal da Federação das Coletividades do Concelho de Gondomar desde 1994. Entre 1998 e 2008 desempenhou funções na Federação Internacional de Voleibol. Presidente do Conselho Fiscal da Federação das Coletividades do Distrito do Porto entre 2004 e 2010. Fundador e presidente do Conselho Fiscal da Associação para o Desenvolvimento Social de Gondomar.
Foram ainda distinguidas várias equipas das seguintes modalidades: andebol, atletismo, canoagem, ciclismo, BTT e downhill, equitação, damas, futebol, ginástica, hóquei em patins, patinagem artística, ornitologia, pólo aquático, remo, ténis, tiro, trail e ténis de mesa.
