A 2ª edição da Corrida da República volta a percorrer um percurso de 10km entre as freguesias de Rio Tinto, Fânzeres e Gondomar (S. Cosme), a 25 de outubro. Carlos Ferreira, responsável pela prova, espera repetir o sucesso da 1ª edição.
A Corrida da República, prova organizada pela EventSport e as Juntas de Freguesia de Rio Tinto, Fânzeres e S. Cosme, está de regresso a Gondomar. A prova tem partida e chegada junto ao Largo do Mosteiro, em Rio Tinto, e será composta por um traçado de 10 quilómetros para a corrida e cinco quilómetros para os adeptos da caminhada.
Carlos Ferreira, responsável pela organização da prova, considera que a prova volta a impor-se apesar da “promoção tardia do evento”.
“Este ano o atraso da realização da prova existiu por diversos motivos. Ainda assim, estamos a realizar a prova em outubro que é o nosso objetivo, porque é o mês que se enquadra melhor neste evento e que simboliza a implantação da República”, afirma o organizador.
Segundo Carlos Ferreira, o “ambiente citadino” da Corrida da República e a “manutenção do preço das inscrições até ao dia 23 de outubro”, dois dias antes da prova, são os principais atrativos para esta 2ª edição.
Já sobre a aposta na continuidade do percurso percorrido na 1ª edição, o organizador da prova admite que nas próximas edições poderá existir uma alternância dos percursos traçados entre as freguesias. “Em edições futuras da prova podemos vir a alternar o percurso e os locais de partida e chegada dos atletas. No entanto, este ano vamos manter o percurso porque em Rio Tinto temos as condições ideais para montarmos a nossa estrutura de forma a criar um constrangimento mínimo à população”, refere Carlos Ferreira.
A II Corrida da República tem início às 10h, do dia 25 de outubro, e conta já com mais de 400 atletas inscritos na prova.
