A autarquia gondomarense quer criar quatro parques urbanos no concelho, num investimento avaliado em cerca de 12 milhões angariados com recurso a fundos comunitários.
Em causa estão os parques urbanos de Rio Tinto, o de Fânzeres, o parque do Monte Crasto e um quarto em S. Cosme e Valbom. A proposta foi apresentada na mais recente reunião pública realizada na Foz do Sousa.
As candidaturas a fundos do Portugal 2020 para a construção de quatro novos parques urbanos em Gondomar já foram submetidas através do Plano Estratégico de Desenvolvimento Urbano e, segundo Marco Martins, presidente da Câmara de Gondomar, as obras deverão começar “em 2016”.
Referindo-se ao parque urbano previsto para o Monte Crasto, o autarca acrescentou os principais alvos deste investimento. “Queremos reabilitar o Monte, os seus percursos e os campos desportivos que existiam”, referiu Marco Martins.
Já sobre a importância do quadro de fundos comunitários o presidente da Câmara classificou de “fundamental” a comparticipação financeira. “Ainda assim a autarquia teria que investir cerca de dois milhões de euros”, conclui o edil gondomarense.
