A verba angariada para tratar Matilde, a bebé de Rio Tinto que morreu a 7 de janeiro, vítima de uma leucemia rara, vai ser doada para ajudar outras crianças com doenças idênticas.
A pequena Matilde, bebé de 16 meses, de Rio Tinto, que não resistiu a uma leucemia rara, foi homenageada por dezenas de pessoas durante as cerimónias fúnebres que aderiram ao apelo dos pais na página de Facebook “Matilde força da natureza viva”.
Os progenitores decidiram doar a verba angariada para tratar Matilde para ajudar outras crianças com doenças idênticas. Diana e Rui Costa, mãe e pai de Matilde, anunciaram a medida na página de Facebook.
Recorde-se que o valor angariado pelos pais – um total de 68 mil euros – serviria para pagar um tratamento da bebé no estrangeiro. Parte deste valor serviu para pagar o funeral e saldar as contas que os pais não puderam pagar, por terem ficado desempregados para tratar da filha.
