“Muitos músicos. Um palco. Uma só banda.” é este o lema do “Noise Traffic – Gondomar é Jovem”, um projeto musical que envolve bandas de garagem e músicos independentes de Gondomar.
A Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, através do pelouro da Juventude e do Desporto, a Associação Social de Silveirinhos (ARCSS), a União de Freguesias de Fânzeres e São Pedro da Cova e o Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude uniram-se para dar forma ao “Noise Traffic – Gondomar é Jovem”. O projeto orientado pelo músico Duarte Cardoso e Matilde Monteiro, da Associação Social de Silveirinhos, pretende estimular os músicos gondomarenses a constituir uma grande banda jovem do concelho que irá atuar no Festival da Juventude de Gondomar, no dia 30 de julho, em Rio Tinto.
“O objetivo passa por estimular a junção de músicos. A iniciativa tem esse caráter inovador no Município porque queremos captar bandas e músicos que andem “perdidos” por Gondomar”, começa por dizer Duarte Cardoso, músico profissional e orientador de projetos de composição musical em colaboração.
A escolha do nome – Noise Traffic – está relacionada com a “criatividade e comunicação do projeto”. “O nome é inglês porque tencionamos formar uma grande banda e queremos facilitar a transposição deste projeto para um patamar internacional”, explica Matilde Monteiro.
O Noise Traffic está aberto a músicos independentes e bandas de garagem, de todos os estilos musicais e com formação de base.
Até ao final de maio os interessados no projeto podem apresentar as suas candidaturas através do formulário que está disponível na página do Facebook da iniciativa. As sessões preparatórias com as bandas têm início em junho e os ensaios prévios estão marcados para junho e julho.
Concerto no Festival da Juventude a 30 de julho
Para os dinamizadores do Noise Traffic, a oportunidade de dar um concerto no Festival da Juventude “é um voto de confiança no desconhecido”, que deixa Matilde Monteiro e Duarte Cardoso orgulhosos.
Quanto ao futuro da banda, Matilde Monteiro considera que “existem várias hipóteses após o concerto final”. “A vertente europeia do projeto está em cima da mesa e poderá ser possível replicá-lo noutros municípios. Queremos que a banda cresça e que ganhe vida, mas é preciso pensar passo a passo”, conclui.
