A cidade de Rio Tinto esteve em festa de 8 a 17 de julho. As festividades em honra de São Bento das Peras e São Cristóvão contaram este ano com um apoio reforçado da Junta de Freguesia e da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar.
O concerto dos Amor Electro foi o ponto alto das Grandiosas Festas em Honra de São Bento das Peras e São Cristóvão. A iniciativa oferecida pelo Município de Gondomar às festas da cidade de Rio Tinto trouxe milhares de pessoas à Avenida do Rio para assistir ao espetáculo da banda liderada por Marisa Liz, que subiu ao palco no dia 15 de julho.
Contudo, as Festas a São Bento das Peras e São Cristóvão tiveram início a 8 de julho e prolongaram-se até ao dia 17, com a realização de iniciativas diária, programadas pela Junta de Rio Tinto, pela Comissão de Festas de São Bento das Peras e São Cristóvão e pela Câmara de Gondomar.
Destacaram-se os momentos religiosos, nomeadamente a majestosa procissão com a bênção dos veículos presentes. No que diz respeito aos espetáculos musicais, merecem ainda destaque a atuação da banda Prata Latina, o concurso Rio Tinto Karaoke e a grandiosa sessão de fogo de artifício.
“Este ano tivemos o cartaz mais forte dos últimos anos”
Ao Vivacidade, Cândido Vieira, membro da Comissão de Festas, destaca o reforço do apoio da Junta de Rio Tinto e do Município de Gondomar que contribuiu para “o cartaz mais forte dos últimos anos”.
“Sem os apoios da Junta e da Câmara não iríamos conseguir este cartaz. Julgo que é justo porque estas são as principais festas da cidade”, refere o membro da comissão.
“Quisemos ser uma parte ativa da organização”
Nuno Fonseca, presidente da Junta de Freguesia de Rio Tinto, mostra-se satisfeito pela aposta realizada nas Festas da cidade. “A Junta reforçou o apoio financeiro, organizacional e logístico nas Festas a São Bento e São Cristóvão. Não nos limitamos a oferecer o dinheiro à Comissão de Festas e quisemos ser uma parte ativa da organização”, explicou o autarca riotintense.
No entanto, de acordo com o presidente da Junta, ainda será possível melhorar o cartaz nos próximos anos. “Nos últimos anos as pessoas estavam a afastar-se destas festividades e a ideia foi corrigir esse facto. Percebemos que conseguimos corrigir algumas coisas mas temos noção que ainda podemos melhorar o cartaz e é esse o nosso objetivo”, referiu Nuno Fonseca.
“As segundas maiores festas do concelho mereciam um reforço do apoio da autarquia”
Por sua vez, Marco Martins, presidente da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, considera justo o reforço do apoio do Município às Festas de Rio Tinto. “Estas são as segundas maiores festas do concelho e achamos que mereciam um reforço do apoio da autarquia. “Nos oito anos em que fui presidente da Junta de Rio Tinto não beneficiamos do apoio da Câmara de Gondomar, que ainda tinha lucro com as Festas, porque recebia dinheiro pela ocupação do espaço e quase não apoiava a comissão organizadora”, lamentou Marco Martins, após reforçar a disponibilidade para manter o apoio no próximo ano.
