A Câmara Municipal de Gondomar inaugurou a 7 de outubro a Rua Comendador Rui Nabeiro, em Valbom. A inauguração da artéria contou com a presença do empresário e presidente do Grupo Nabeiro-Delta Cafés.
Marco Martins, presidente da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, e Rui Nabeiro, empresário fundador da Delta Cafés, inauguraram a Rua Comendador Rui Nabeiro, em Valbom, junto à saída da IC29.
“Estamos aqui de uma forma simples e humilde a perpetuar, homenagear e, sobretudo, reconhecer o trabalho que foi feito por este homem, um empresário que cresceu vindo do nada e que foi desenvolvendo a sua atividade económica, naturalmente na sua região, no seu concelho, mas com uma grande marca, a marca do empreendedorismo e da responsabilidade social”, afirmou Marco Martins.
Rui Nabeiro, que se deslocou a Gondomar para a inauguração da artéria, mostrou-se orgulhoso pela atribuição do seu nome a uma rua do concelho. “Sinto-me bem com esta distinção. Inaugurar esta artéria com o meu nome é uma grande generosidade que encaro com toda a humildade. Gondomar estava e continuará a estar dentro de mim”, referiu o empresário num discurso emocionado.
O Comendador da Ordem do Infante D. Henrique manifestou ainda vontade de querer “continuar assim, a pensar nos outros, na comunidade”.
A encerrar, Marco Martins salientou a necessidade de abrir Gondomar “para além das suas fronteiras, porque tem potencial de crescimento e de desenvolvimento”.
