O 13.º Concurso de Cultura Geral da RUTIS realizou-se a 26 de janeiro, no Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar.
Pelo segundo ano consecutivo a Universidade Sénior de Vila Franca de Xira venceu o Concurso de Cultura Geral da RUTIS (Associação de Rede de Universidades da Terceira Idade), tendo a Universidade Sénior do Seixal e a Universidade Sénior Rotary de Valongo ficado em segundo e terceiro lugares, respetivamente.
A iniciativa, organizada pela Universidade da Grande Idade de Rio Tinto (UGIRT) e a RUTIS, contou com a participação de 26 equipas provenientes de vários pontos do país, num total de mais de 900 seniores, na prova intitulada “O saber não tem idade”.
“Esta iniciativa revelou, mais uma vez, que vale a pena trabalhar com, pelos e ao lado dos seniores. A partilha de saberes e afetos que se afirma no lema destas Universidades de Terceira Idade esteve bem evidente neste evento”, afirmou Maria José Guimarães, presidente da direção da UGIRT.
A 14ª edição do concurso, em 2018, vai realizar-se na Universidade Sénior do Seixal.
