Cláudia Joaquim, secretária de Estado da Segurança Social, visitou, no dia 21 de abril, o Centro Social da Lomba.
A secretária de Estado da Segurança Social, Cláudia Joaquim, visitou as instalações do Centro Social da Lomba. À margem da visita, foi também assinado um contrato-programa de apoio pontual no valor de 25 mil euros, no âmbito do apoio à obra de remodelação e ampliação da Estrutura Residencial para Pessoas Idosas – Nossa Senhora do Ó. A estrutura residencial tem capacidade para beneficiar 47 pessoas idosas.
A visita de Estado foi acompanhada por Marco Martins, presidente da Câmara de Gondomar, Miguel Cardoso, diretor do Centro Distrital da Segurança Social do Porto, Carla Vale, diretora do Centro de Emprego de Gondomar e Joaquim Viana, presidente da direção do Centro Social da Lomba, assim como representantes das IPSS do concelho, corpos sociais da instituição, amigos, colaboradores e utentes.
Durante a visita, Joaquim Viana salientou a importância das respostas sociais que a instituição fornece à comunidade há 31 anos. Por sua vez, Marco Martins destacou o orgulho no projeto social que o Centro Social da Lomba desenvolve e o esforço que o Município tem feito no apoio social, duplicando a verba atribuída a estas instituições.
No dia 22 de abril, o Centro Social da Lomba comemorou também o 1.º Convívio Geral e Dia do Associado.
