Parte do espólio do poeta Eugénio de Andrade vai ficar em Gondomar, num espaço disponibilizado pela autarquia na Biblioteca Municipal, intitulado “Espaço Eugénio de Andrade”.
Dario Gonçalves, fotógrafo gondomarense e amigo de décadas muito próximo do autor, vai ceder parte do espólio do poeta Eugénio de Andrade, que tem em sua posse à Câmara Municipal de Gondomar.
Desta forma, passará a ser possível consultar originais manuscritos e dactilografados, fotografias do poeta, livros e objetos pessoais que o autor de “As mãos e os frutos” foi doando a Dario Gonçalves.
O contrato de doação foi assinado no início deste mês, após aprovação por unanimidade na última reunião pública do Município. O documento prevê ainda que a autarquia preserve e garanta a integridade, nas melhores condições possíveis, dos bens documentais e museológicos deste espólio, bem como a sua divulgação pública e no âmbito científico, ficando a dinamização do futuro “Espaço Eugénio de Andrade” a cargo do professor António Joaquim Oliveira, conhecedor profundo da obra do poeta português.
“Começamos a trabalhar este assunto pouco depois de tomarmos posse, em 2013. Sabemos que as coisas não correram bem com a Fundação Eugénio de Andrade e Câmara Municipal do Porto, mas percebemos que Dario Gonçalves tinha um espólio de grande valor e acabamos por encontrar esta solução que agrada a ambas as partes”, afirma Luís Filipe Araújo, vereador da Cultura do Município de Gondomar.
Segundo o autarca, um dos principais objetivos passa também por “digitalizar e disponibilizar os documentos aos que estudam Eugénio de Andrade”.
Por sua vez, António Joaquim Oliveira, destaca a mais-valia do protocolo que “assenta na preservação dos documentos e artefactos cedidos pelo autor, sendo alguns de caráter inédito”. “Já está escolhido o local, no primeiro piso da Biblioteca Municipal e estimamos que seja inaugurado daqui a ano e meio”, refere o professor.
António Joaquim Oliveira está também a preparar uma exposição dedicada a Eugénio de Andrade, que será aberta ao público no dia 19 de janeiro de 2018, data que comemorará o 95.º aniversário do nascimento do autor.
Biografia Eugénio de Andrade:
Eugénio de Andrade, pseudónimo de José Fontinhas (1923-2005), foi um poeta português. Natural do Fundão, onde tem uma biblioteca com o seu nome, foi premiado com o Grande Prémio de Poesia da Associação Portuguesa de Escritores (1989), a Grã-Cruz da Ordem do Mérito (1989) e o Prémio Camões (2001), entre outros galardões. Faleceu a 13 de junho de 2005, no Porto, vítima de uma doença neurológica prolongada.
