No dia 30 de junho, o ‘marchódromo’ da freguesia mineira volta a aquecer com sete marchas populares que vão desfilar ao som da Banda Musical de São Pedro da Cova. A iniciativa tem início às 21h30.
A Comissão de Festas de São Pedro da Cova e a União das Freguesias de Fânzeres e São Pedro da Cova voltam a unir esforços na organização das Marchas Populares, tradição da vila que foi recuperada em 2015. A iniciativa está marcada para o dia 30 de junho e contará, este ano, com um novo espaço, maior que o anterior, perto do edifício da Junta de Freguesia de São Pedro da Cova.
Vão participar nas marchas a Associação Recreativa Cultural e Desportiva Vila Verde, o Grupo Folclórico e Etnográfico de São Pedro da Cova, a Associação Recreativa Cultural e Social Silveirinhos, o Rancho Folclórico do Passal, o Grupo Zés Pereiras do Passal, a Associação Recreativa Desportiva e Cultural da Mó e a Associação Social Recreativa Cultural dos Moradores do Conjunto Habitacional da Gandra.
“Este é, efetivamente, um dos pontos altos das festas aos padroeiros São Pedro e São Paulo, porque envolvem toda a freguesia. Este ano voltamos a bater o recorde e vamos contar com sete marchas a desfilar”, afirma Carlos Moura, responsável pela Comissão de Festas.
Os desfiles vão realizar-se ao som da Banda Musical de São Pedro da Cova, que irá animar a iniciativa. Cada grupo terá cerca de 20 minutos para atuar perante o público. São esperadas centenas de pessoas na assistência.
“É um evento que desperta as rivalidades entre os vários lugares da freguesia. Todos querem fazer melhor que os seus vizinhos, apesar de não existir vertente competitiva. Trata-se apenas de um momento exibicional de cada uma das marchas e cabe ao público fazer a sua avaliação”, acrescenta Carlos Moura.
Para Pedro Miguel Vieira, presidente da União das Freguesias, “está provado que São Pedro da Cova é uma terra de tradições e com identidade própria”. As marchas populares encarregam-se, segundo o autarca, de evidenciar isso mesmo.
“Este evento vem reforçar o bairrismo e a identidade da nossa terra, graças a um envolvimento coletivo muito forte. Da nossa parte, gostaríamos que cada lugar da freguesia fosse representado pela sua marcha, mas sabemos que não é fácil, porque isto envolve muitas pessoas e muito tempo de ensaio”, faz notar Pedro Miguel Vieira.
As Marchas Populares de São Pedro da Cova contam também com um apoio à organização da Câmara Municipal de Gondomar.
