Foi a propósito do Dia Mundial dos Direitos do Consumidor que a DECO, em colaboração com a Câmara Municipal de Gondomar, realizou na Biblioteca de Municipal o primeiro evento de sensibilização dedicado às camadas seniores.
Nesta iniciativa abordaram-se as diversas práticas comerciais desleais, e vendas agressivas e enganosas que existem com o objetivo de alertar a população mais envelhecida dos perigos que corre todos os dias, dentro e fora das suas casas.
Tânia Oliveira, jurista, revela ao nosso jornal que a sinalização desta data é bastante importante visto que a DECO “trabalha todos os dias pela defesa dos interesses dos seus consumidores” e que o objetivo principal desta iniciativa foi conseguir chegar a uma faixa de consumidores seniores, que é uma das franjas mais vulneráveis a este tipo de situações.
É importante relembrar que a Câmara de Gondomar, em parceria com a DECO, tem o mais antigo protocolo para a defesa do consumidor, que nasceu em 1992. Este acordo tem como objetivo apoiar os gondomarenses em situações mais complexas contando com a “colaboração onde todas as semanas, às sextas-feiras à tarde, presta-se apoio aos cidadãos, de forma gratuita, no Balcão Único.
