O trail Trilhos do Mineiro vai ter lugar a 7 de abril, na Serra de Santa Justa. O percurso conta com 17 quilómetros e o valor angariado reverterá a favor do Museu Mineiro de São Pedro da Cova.
A Liga de Amigos do Museu Mineiro de São Pedro da Cova (LAMMSPC) está a organizar uma prova de trail, designada Trilhos do Mineiro, que irá ter a sua primeira edição no dia 7 de abril, com partida junto ao Museu Mineiro de São Pedro da Cova.
A prova de corrida em montanha vai percorrer trilhos e caminhos, dentro dos limites de São Pedro da Cova, com especial incidência na Serra de Santa Justa. O trail terá 17 quilómetros e a caminhada oito quilómetros.
“Apostamos nesta modalidade porque temos, na organização, pessoas ligadas ao trail. Estamos a ser apoiados pela Associação S4L e o Agrupamento n.º 892 dos Escuteiros de São Pedro da Cova. No tota, é uma equipa com mais de 50 pessoas associada a este evento”, afirma Micaela Santos, da LAMMSPC.
Ao Vivacidade, Micaela explica que a prova começou a ser pensada em novembro de 2018 e que já “superou a expectativa inicial”, tendo superado as 500 inscrições e encerrado as inscrições para a caminhada.
Por sua vez, Jerónima Santos, mostra-se satisfeita com a adesão à prova e espera que o evento desportivo possa contribuir para o futuro do Museu Mineiro. Desta forma, a LAMMSPC “quer melhorar a capacidade de isolamento do edifício e preparar uma sala para receber um arquivo documental que já nos foi cedido”, explica a dirigente.
“Sabemos que a União das Freguesias [Fânzeres e São Pedro da Cova] não consegue suportar sozinha todo o encargo financeiro e é nesse sentido que a Liga de Amigos tem que atuar. Queremos continuar a angariar fundos para o Museu Mineiro, para que ele não morra e possa continuar a desenvolver-se. Além da participação na prova, era importante que as pessoas se associassem mais à Liga de Amigos do Museu Mineiro”, pede Jerónima Santos.
Pedro Miguel Vieira, presidente desta União das Freguesias, também espera que a prova volte a alertar as entidades responsáveis para a necessária “recuperação do património mineiro”. De acordo com o autarca, “é necessário renovar, revitalizar e requalificar aquele terreno e aquelas estruturas, que estão a degradar-se de dia para dia”.
A inscrição no trail Trilhos do Mineiro tem, nesta fase, o custo de 12,5 euros por participante e deverá ser registada até 1 de abril.
