Foi em 2013 que Gonçalo Relvas, com a ajuda de alguns familiares, começou a trabalhar no negócio da comercialização de vinhos onde viu uma grande capacidade de desenvolvimento de um negócio próprio e empreendedor que começou com a venda de vinhos de mesa. O jovem empreendedor conta hoje com um vasto leque de clientes e, em maio, fará a sua primeira exportação para a Alemanha.
Estava prestes a completar os seus 18 anos quando surgiu a oportunidade de entrar num negócio que jamais imaginaria ser hoje o seu trabalho a tempo inteiro. Gonçalo Relvas, estudou no Instituto Superior da Maia, tirou o curso de Gestão de Marketing e revela ao nosso jornal que, em 2013, a iniciativa surgiu através de um amigo que se tornou seu fornecedor até hoje. “Essa pessoa é muito importante neste projeto. É a pessoa que o acompanha e que o educa, porque ainda estou a aprender muita coisa”.
O estudante conta-nos que iniciou a comercialização de vinhos em estabelecimentos que lhe eram familiares e hoje dispõe de “um vasto leque de encomendas que chegam de diversas partes do país” para comprar vinhos de transição, adamados e jovens.
Relativamente ao seu fornecedor, Gonçalo Relvas revela-nos que “não têm para já uma marca própria, mas contam com a exclusividade de vinho daquela casta” situada no Alto Douro. Este ano, o negócio subiu mais um degrau quando procedeu à criação de nome para a sua empresa “Wine to Go. A ideia nasceu em 2015, mas só agora saiu para o público. Havia a necessidade de criar uma identidade mais forte nesta fase do projeto, mas desde 2017 que a empresa está oficializada” e que consiste na venda de vinhos de mesa e de cerveja, com uma nova parceria com a cerveja artesanal “Cidadela”, uma cerveja recente produzida em Gondomar.
Para além da comercialização de um vinho licoroso em parceria com Carlos Alonso, o estudante revela que nasceu aqui uma “oportunidade de vender vinho do Porto e de criar a sua primeira garrafa própria”.
Importa salientar que Gonçalo Relvas aposta na totalidade em produtos 100% nacionais e admite que os vinhos portugueses “são os melhores do mundo, os mais premiados e conceituados”. “É um orgulho comercializar os vinhos da região do Douro. Cada vez mais as pessoas compram vinhos caros, a qualidade conta muito e estes vinhos são muito apreciados a nível mundial”.
Nos dias 10, 11 e 12 de março o jovem empreendedor teve a oportunidade de fazer uma viagem à Alemanha em negócio e admite que o feedback foi positivo, no entanto, “notou que existem várias zonas do país que gostariam de vender produtos portugueses, mas que têm dificuldades pela falta de transporte dos produtos para as zonas do interior.” A pedido desses estabelecimentos “em maio, a empresa Wine to Go conta com a sua primeira exportação para Alemanha”. Contudo, o jovem gestor promete não ficar por aqui: “o objetivo principal é internacionalizar os nossos produtos e nesse mês, vamos lançar uma garrafa própria de vinho do Porto”.
