O júri do conceituado Festival Internacional de Cinema Vegas Movie Awards premiou, no mês passado, o documentário curto, “A TERRA DOS HOMENS” – que tem imagens do fotógrafo gondomarense Paulo Ferreira e texto e voz de Eduardo Rêgo.

O trabalho da dupla portuguesa concorreu a uma só categoria, mas os jurados foram sensíveis à pertinência da mensagem e atribuíram uma segunda estatueta -Best Documentary Short- Award of Prestige Best Inspirational Film – Award of Merit.

Trata-se do mais recente documentário curto e motivacional de Paulo Ferreira, que reúne imagens de vários pontos do Mundo e que prima pela mensagem de sensibilização, face ao desnorte dos comportamentos humanos em relação ao planeta e a nós próprios.

Produzido em tempo de pandemia, o filme é um alerta pungente para a multiplicidade de problemas que assolam a humanidade. Nas palavras do realizador “Este é o tempo de repensar comportamentos; o tempo de lembrar que as nossas ações têm sempre consequências; o tempo de mostrar que somos merecedores de habitar a casa a que chamamos Terra.”

O trabalho de Paulo Ferreira é já bem conhecido, dentro e fora das fronteiras portuguesas. Foi recentemente agraciado com três prémios pelo Festival internacional de Cinema Finisterra Arrábida Film Art & Tourism; e, a estas distinções, juntou-se uma Menção Honrosa atribuída pelo Presidente do Júri.

O reconhecimento, cada vez mais expressivo, do trabalho desenvolvido por Paulo Ferreira, é a prova cabal da urgência que existe em interiorizar os valores acumulados ao longo da história. A sua abordagem de consciencialização ambiental e de promoção de locais singulares da Terra, é um sério contributo para a Consciência Global. E esta postura adquiriu uma nova dimensão, ao associar-se a Eduardo Rêgo – o conhecido locutor e guionista de natureza – que tem uma visão holística do mundo e da vida. É expectável que o futuro traga novas experiências video- gráficas em que esta dupla se propõe ajudar a recentrar o caminho que conduz ao equilíbrio.
